Loutro

A quaint fishing village on the south part of Crete with an amphitheatrical bay that astonishes the visitors. Quite peaceful, this place can only be reached by sea or foot. The unique colour of the sea, a majestic palette ranging from light turquoise to deep navy blue makes this place widely known.

Sfakia

Perhaps the most famous village of the entire island of Crete due to its imposing history as it is considered to be one of the few villages than have never been fully occupied by foreign powers. Also known to those who cross the Samaria gorge as it is the terminal spot. The coast of Sfakia is inhabited by a diminishing fish population. Another worth mentioning reason to visit this place is the famous local speciality “Sfakian pies” , thin pancakes filled with mizithra cheese and served drizzled with honey.
